Curvy Kate Portia Wear Test
Initial thoughts
Curvy Kate Portia bras are great, in fact the whole range is lovely as its designed for those of us needing a larger cup but not necessarily a larger band size. There’s a look for everyone not matter whether its lingerie for work or play! Both colours pictured in this review were worn by me for the wear test, gorgeous bright colours.
Fit and Shape
Very good. It feels fantastic to wear a non padded bra that actually fits around each breast and gives some projection as well as good shape. Lets face it we all want our boobs to look their best in a bra and not like flattened pancakes.
Comfort
Very comfortable, smooth lined cups mean you can move about doing all your normal jobs etc and know that there is no rubbing or irritation, and the straps are a good size so no digging in on the shoulders. I was a little concerned about a small mark I had in between my breasts after the first wear, but after a wash that part of the bra seemed much softer and I’ve not had any more marks.
Materials & Durability
I was a little concerned with the thin fabric as similar bras I’ve bought in the past have been a little irritable. I didn’t let it put me off and a good job too as its a lovely smooth fabric and it feels great against your skin. In my opinion the materials look as though it will last no matter how many times you wear them.
Design and Style
The overall design and style of the Curvy Kate Portia is lovely, it gives almost full coverage of your breasts with a lace effect on the upper part of the cups to add a more feminine touch and with lovely ribbon and bow details too. The straps are supportive and easy to adjust while not being to wide so that they show under certain clothing.
Conclusion
A very good bra, very practical as well as elegant, a pleasant change from the frumpy bras of old that were the only ones available with larger cups. Suitable to wear for all occasions not just the office, and durable so no need to go lingerie shopping too often, unless you like lots of choice that is! A good selection of colours to choose from but it would be nice to have a plain white for wearing to the office.
