Final – World’s Most Beautiful Bottom 2008
On November 12, brief specialist sloggi will, for the second consecutive year, decide which man and woman has the world’s most beautiful bottom. An expert jury has the difficult task of making the final choice out of 46 finalists from 29 countries to decide the winners of the 2008 “Show me your sloggi” competition. Not only will the lucky winners receive the title “World’s Most Beautiful Bottom”, they will each pocket Euros 15,000, be awarded a modelling contract for an international sloggi advertising campaign, plus insurance for the most precious part of their body – their bottom.
Representing Britain will be Marc Blackman, 35, a medical goods buyer from Thornton Heath Surrey who believes his bottom is perfectly pert and peachy, and new mum, Georgina Griffiths, 21, from Welling, Northants, who keeps in shape with her busy life looking after her four month old daughter.
The indoor swimming pool “Club Quartier Latin” in Paris offers an unusual arena for the grande-finale show choreographed by France’s famous “Graines de Star” talent scout Dominique-Damien Rehel. Its unique atmosphere provides a top class setting for the 46 finalists to present their most precious, shapely derrières in order to win the hearts and minds of the eight-member jury, and to convince them why they should be the winners.
This year, sloggi has again arranged a line-up of judges of the highest calibre. It will be their task to decide, on the spot, which bottom is the perfect showcase for the company’s hallmark brief, and which finalists will eventually be honoured with the title of “World’s Most Beautiful Bottom”. As well as supermodel and actress Adriana Karembeu, sloggi has been able to acquire for the jury the services of the ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli, the space expert who, incidentally, did not have to go without his sloggi underwear during his space mission. They will be joined by Stan Murmur, Bum Painting Artist; Lomig Guillo, Editor in Chief of FHM France; Michelle Rice, Global Segment Leader Intimate Apparel and Swimwear (Invista); Thomas Herreiner, Global Head of Brand Management (sloggi), as well as both winners of the 2007 “Show me your sloggi” title, Kristina Dimitrova and Andrei Andrei.
