Lingerie Ad Used to Launch Skin Cancer Campaign
The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) are using a sexy lingerie ad to launch a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of early detection in preventing deaths from skin cancer. Only a quarter of people in the UK currently check their skin for changes associated with the early signs of the disease (BAD, 2009).
Here’s a few skin facts:
- 44% of adults are unable to recognise the signs of skin cancer
- ¼ of people in the UK have never checked their skin for changes
- Skin cancer is the second most common form of cancer among 20 to 40 year olds
