Triumph Inspiration Award 2009

January 19, 2009 | 0 Comments More

Triumph Inspiration Award Underwear giant Triumph is kicking off 2009 with the second launch of its global lingerie design competition for young fashion and design students. This year, young talents will not only be selected by a prestigious jury in Milan, they will also be chosen by visitors to the website who too will be able vote on who should receive the award.

Creative young talents from around the globe have been called upon to unleash their inspiration under the guidance of the design theme "Icons." The aim is to interpret an icon they have freely selected on their own and then create a one-of-a-kind design showpiece made up of one bra and one pair of briefs.

Just as in 2008, this year’s prizes will include a cash prize for first place of 15,000 Euros, along with an opportunity to adapt the winning design together with the Triumph design team into a commercial underwear set. This set will be delivered on a hanger in 2010 to Triumph stores around the world as a limited line. Second and third place winners will go home with 10,000 and 5,000 Euros respectively. All national winners will receive a chance to take part in the International Final during Milan Fashion Week.

2008 Winner Visitors to the awards website will also be able to cast their own personal vote on the submitted entries from August 31 to September 13, 2009. The online community will thus be able to decide which designs are their favourites.

The design receiving the most votes online will then enter the Final in Milan with one set vote in the expert jury.

A winner will also be drawn from all those who voted for this favourite and this person will be able to travel to Milan and take a seat with the jury at the International Final, to personally represent the online community.

Jan Rosenberg, Global Head of Sales and Marketing for Triumph International told Lingerieblog.co.uk, “Dealing with trends from art, culture, fashion and lifestyle that we depict anew in every collection is part of our daily work. After the impressive results in 2008, we are again pleased to be able to share our enthusiasm for lingerie with talented young designers and invite them to discover the exciting world of lingerie for themselves”
